The game was played between Magnus Carlsen playing White and Geir Sune Tallaksen Ostmoe playing Black at the Norwegian Chess Championship 2005. Carlsen started his attack with a beautiful rook maneuver from Re1-Re4-Rh4 after breaking through the center. He then continued his attack by keeping his pieces active and sacrificing them one after the other to keep the momentum going.
